Okay, I officially need to stop taking breaks. It probably won't happen, but that's what I should do. After I take a break, I feel like I'm working in double-time for days in a row playing catch up. Good think I love what I do. I'm so blessed to have a supportive husband who works so hard so that I can do what I love. Surely that will get me some points if he reads this, right??
My booths were in major need of restocking and rearranging, so that's what I did yesterday in Destin at Smith's Antiques and will be doing today in Fort Walton at De'France and Plethora. Not that I consider myself an expert by ANY stretch of the imagination, but, I do have one small tid-bit of advice for anyone reading that has a booth space or is considering it: fluff, fluff, fluff. This means keep it fresh, rearrange, move something from the left side of the booth to the right side of the booth, change up your vignette's, etc. It is amazing how much sales generally increase just after a little booth fluff up. Okay, that's my random advice for today...take it or leave it!
So, in an effort to quickly fill my booths, I knocked out a couple new hook racks yesterday. I used an old board with some chippy white paint that I hauled back from Oklahoma to Florida. I dug this one out of my in-laws dump. All I did was seal it with a clear wax, screw in two heavy duty d-ring hangers on the back, and screw in these cute little owl hooks on the front. In my true fashion, nothing was measured, just eyeballed. Hey, let's just call it perfect imperfection!
The string it's hanging with is just for display. I always put a little note on these that says something along the lines of "string not intended for actual hanging; for display only".
Aren't these owls just the cutest??
